LaAmistad is supported by a diverse community that gives in many ways. Board, staff, volunteers, donors, and friends all play a role in the award-winning programs LaAmistad delivers. The success of our students and families can be attributed their own hard work as well as the philanthropic spirit of the community we are proud to be a part of.

Ways to Give
1. Join the Compañeros Giving Society with a recurring monthly gift. This kind of giving allows flexibility in meeting the community's needs and makes giving quick and easy. Compañeros Giving Society members are offered special recognition in publications. Join here.

4. Employer sponsored matching gift programs offer the opportunity to double the impact of your charitable contributions and/or provide donations from volunteering at LaAmistad. Gifts from retirees and spouses may also qualify for a match. Search for your employer to see if they offer matching gifts.
5. Donate stock or appreciated securities to LaAmistad! To donate stock or securities, contact your broker to initiate the transaction providing the information below:

6. Donate goods and/or services to LaAmistad. We love our volunteers and our in-kind donations.
7. Direct transfer from IRA to LaAmistad. If you are over age 70, contact your IRA administrator for instructions on making a direct transfer that will be free of federal income tax. If you are between ages 59 ½ and 70, you may be eligible to make a penalty-free withdrawal from your IRA. This withdrawal will be subject to federal income tax, and possibly state income tax; however you may be eligible for a charitable deduction to offset the taxes. Check with your IRA administrator or financial advisor.
8. Give through a Donor Advised Fund, which is like a charitable savings account and it gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to LaAmistad.
9. Planned giving is not complicated and can be done in so many different ways! It can be done in the form of living wills, trusts, beneficiary designations (IRA’s, retirement plans, life insurance, commercial annuities), charitable remainder trusts, memorials, tribute gifts, real estate, and endowments.
