In-Person Afterschool resumes Spring 2022

LaAmistad Afterschool prides itself on providing the highest quality academic assistance to one of metro Atlanta's fastest growing populations with the help of dedicated teachers and volunteers. Despite its continued growth, Atlanta's Latino community remains underserved. This is particularly true when it comes to academia and available resources for Latino students outside the classroom.  Thus, it is LaAmistad's mission to prepare Latino students for future success through academic and life-enrichment programs, the primary of which being LaAmistad Afterschool. Studies show that students involved in regular afterschool programming not only improve their academic standing but also gain valuable confidence and self-esteem that serves them throughout their lives. To qualify for LaAmistad Afterschool, a student must simply be of Latino heritage, be eligible for free or reduced-price school lunch, and attend one of our partner schools throughout the Atlanta area.
